Nashville, TN — June 2, 2025 — Hermitage Design Center, formerly Hermitage Lighting Gallery, a long-standing leader in lighting, appliances, hardware, and national account solutions, is proud to announce a key leadership transition.

Jack Fleischer, who has successfully served as CEO/President for decades, will step down from that role and transition into the position of President. Fleischer has played a pivotal role in growing Hermitage Design Center and Hermitage Lighting National Accounts into two of the most respected entities in the industry. Under his guidance, the organization has expanded its footprint, deepened relationships with hospitality and residential partners, and modernized its approach to design, distribution, and customer experience.

Taking the helm as CEO is Jerry Guiliano, an experienced executive with more than 30 years of leadership in consumer-facing product companies. Guiliano brings a strong background in growth strategy, having held leadership roles at Remington, Wrangler, Walls Outdoors, and Coleman. He is known for his ability to align brand vision with operational execution and for fostering innovation in evolving markets.

“I’m honored to step into the role of CEO at Hermitage,” said Guiliano. “Jack has built an exceptional company rooted in quality, integrity, and service. I’m excited to work alongside the talented team at Hermitage to continue that legacy and drive future growth.”

Outdoor spaces are no longer afterthoughts in a home’s design and decor plan. The outdoors set the stage for the rest of the home, create a welcoming ambience, and provide a space to relax, gather with friends and family, or steal a few quiet moments away in the midst of a hectic day. An outdoor area, whether it is a small porch or a large patio, needs to be styled and decorated to match both the functional and practical requirements of the space, as well as the cohesive design aesthetics that tie it in with the rest of the home.

When it comes to choosing exterior lighting fixtures, here are five key things to consider:

At Hermitage in Nashville, we’re always excited to meet builders and homeowners who have unique ideas for lighting. Whether they’re building or renovating a house, lighting design is one of the most important aspects, and is what will bring every room together and make the house functional. A room can be perfectly laid out and decorated, but if the lighting is off, the entire space can feel uncomfortable. Our showroom experts would love to help you realize your contemporary ideas.

The basement is often an unused space, but when you come up with an idea for how to use it, you want it to be as modern and comfortable as possible. With that comfort in mind, it’s important not to forget about adding a bathroom. If you’re turning the basement into a game room, family room, or man cave, having a bathroom can make it more convenient when you have friends or family over to watch the game or a movie. Instead of having to make the trek upstairs to use the facilities, guests can simply walk down the hall to use your new bathroom. As with any bathroom in your home, lighting is perhaps the most important aspect (next to the plumbing, of course).

If you’ve recently painted your hallway, or you’re thinking about upgrading your front hall and entryway, there are many things to keep in mind. The width and length of the hallway and the height of the ceiling are obviously important, but what about the color of paint you’ll use and the style of light fixtures you’ll install? You may have a certain piece of decor you want to place in the hallway, such as a new painting or photograph. Whatever the case may be, the team at Hermitage in Nashville can help you plan and create your new hallway lighting and design.

Your home furniture and decor are very important, but they’re not nearly as important as your lighting. Without the proper lighting your artwork, couches, countertops, and home accents would lose their impact and appeal. Everything must work in harmony, and if your lighting is lacking, it could be time to rethink your fixtures. You may have one room, such as the kitchen, that is in need of a serious lighting upgrade, and changing one or two fixtures can completely reinvent how you cook, clean, and use the space. At Hermitage in Nashville, we would love to help you find new home lighting fixtures.
